Nexus Group LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates TaxTrakr, a financial tracking and tax organization application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our application and website (collectively, the "Service"). By using TaxTrakr, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
When you register, we collect your name, email address, and any profile information you provide.
TaxTrakr stores financial data that you voluntarily input, including income records, expense transactions, mileage logs, invoice details, and client information. This data is stored on your behalf to provide the Service.
If you connect a bank account via Teller, we receive a read-only access token. We never receive, store, or have access to your banking credentials (username/password). Transaction data fetched through this connection is stored in your account to power the Bank Sync feature.
Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full payment details. We retain your Stripe customer ID to manage your subscription.
We may collect anonymized usage analytics (pages visited, features used, error logs) to improve the Service. This data is not linked to personally identifiable information.
Documents, receipts, and images you upload or capture via your device camera are stored securely and are only accessible by your account. When you use the camera feature to scan receipts or bank statements, the image is processed locally on your device and uploaded to our secure storage. We use AI services to extract data from these images (e.g., vendor, amount, date) — this processing is temporary and is not retained for training purposes.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your financial data for advertising purposes.
TaxTrakr uses AI models to power features such as the expense audit agent, tax planning advisor, and receipt processing. When you use these features, relevant data (e.g., expense descriptions, amounts, categories) may be sent to AI model providers for processing. This data is used solely to generate your requested output and is not used to train AI models on your personal financial data.

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS), encryption at rest, role-based access controls, and biometric session verification within the app. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you close your account, we will delete your personal data within 90 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial records for tax compliance purposes).
